Sandbaai beach is a 2-3 minute walk from your front door. This is a safe swimming beach and when the tide goes out, it is great to explore the marine life in the many tidal rock pools. There is a reef which creates a good wave for surfers and bodyboarders. There are showers and change rooms in the parking area.

The neighbouring Onrus town also has a popular surfing beach; there is a lagoon to the one side of the beach which offers a safe swimming area for children. Voelklip is another popular surfing spot. The beach also has a fantastic lawn, a wonderful place to sunbathe if you are not a fan of the sand. Grotto Beach stretches for miles and it is known to be one of the best fishing spots in the region. The facilities are excellent and there is also a beach front restaurant.
